Fiber Optic Color Code is a comprehensive tool that provides a searchable expanding chart of fiber strands, aiding in the translation of color codes for Loose Tube, Ribbon, and other high count fiber optic cables.

Feature highlights:

  • Customizable cables ranging from 12F to 6912F
  • Custom color codes
  • Customizable fiber number searches
  • Searchable cable count with reverse cable count functionality
  • Color code drill down for detailed analysis

This application is recommended for use as a secondary reference tool to account for field mistakes and incorrect records that may exist. Relying on a tone source as the primary identifier ensures greater accuracy.

It allows users to locate fibers with or without cable counts. Simply input a strand number without a cable count or use the 'Cable, Fiber' format for complex cable counts – the app automatically detects the presence of a count. The app then expands and positions index pointers at the identified fiber locations.

To configure High-Density cables (RILT#1-5 positions) to include Ribbon in Loose Tube, Spår/slotted core, or yarn bundled cable:

  1. Select the round cable type configuration button located at the bottom right of the main screen.
  2. Choose any of the last 5 items labeled as RILT#1-5 from the list.
  3. Access the "More" tab positioned at the bottom left.
  4. Select "Set RILT" and proceed with the configuration as needed.

RILT#1-5 maximum configuration allowances for any combination (not exceeding 6912F):

  • Super Tubes: 1-24 max
  • Ribbons: 1-144 max
  • Fibers: 1-48 max

To create customized color codes:

  1. Access the "More" tab at the bottom left.
  2. Choose 'Set Color Code' from the 'More Menu'.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the color code list and select 'Custom Setup'.
  4. In the subsequent screen, click 'Start here', choose a color code position to edit, customize, and save your selections.

The app also offers an input cable count screen where users can enter complex cable counts that can be split into a preferred cable type sub-unit configuration.

Smart Save feature:

  1. Select the round Cable Type button.
  2. Enter the cable count and optionally assign it to a position for tracking purposes.
  3. Click on the "Color Code" button to save your configuration.

In addition, users can benefit from various color indicators for saved cable counts and easily manage them within the app interface.

The application includes intuitive features such as Cable Count Input validation dots, providing immediate feedback on data accuracy within the color code chart. It also simplifies data entry with Double Space Auto Punctuation functionality for efficient and error-free input.
